Amor Muñoz is a Mexico City-based artist whose interdisciplinary practice spans textiles, sculpture, sound, and interactive systems. For more than fifteen years, Muñoz has investigated the possibilities of electronic textiles, translating the often-rigid vernacular of engineering into flexible, tactile forms. Viewing the textile as a site of epistemic practice, she explores how knowledge is organized and circulated through social and functional interactions. Her work is structured around three primary inquiries: the relationship between labor and technodiversity; poetic coding as a bridge between text, fiber, and computation; and bio-art that engages with posthumanist speculation through living matter and artificial intelligence. She has held prestigious residencies at Google Arts & Culture, Bauhaus Dessau, and La Becque. Her work has been presented at the Barbican, SFMOMA, MUAC, Ars Electronica, and the Havana Biennial, and is included in the permanent collections of Kadist and the Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation.
